Whether you’re sober-curious, or just want to avoid alcohol for the night, mocktails are a great way to have a fun drink with friends when you want to skip the hangover. Utilizing some of your favorite holiday flavors, you can make some delicious, and aesthetically pleasing mocktails.

Some tools and ingredients you may want to use include…

Cranberry Juice

Sparkling water

Dusting Sugar for garnish

Cocktail Shakers

Assorted Glasses

Ginger ale

Sparkling Apple Cider

Pomegranate Juice

Dried Citrus rinds for garnish

Cinnamon sugar

These ingredients will give you a great head start on your next holiday party’s mocktail bar, but if you’re not feeling inspired, here are a few recipes to try out!

Cranberry Pomegranate Punch

3 oz Cranberry Juice

3 oz Pomegranate Juice

2 oz of Sparkling water

Dried Orange rind

Dusting Sugar

Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker and shake lightly with ice to incorporate all ingredients, strain to remove ice, rim a martini glass, or other 8 oz glass, with dusting sugar and garnish with a dried orange rind.

Spiced Sparkling Cider

4 oz sparkling cider

4 oz ginger ale

Cinnamon sugar

Rim a highball glass with cinnamon sugar, then add all liquid ingredients, add ice, and stir lightly with a bar spoon.

Using this bar setup as a jumping off point, here are some more advanced drinks to impress your guests!

Peppermint Espresso “Martini”

½ oz of peppermint extract or syrup

2 oz shot of espresso, or cold brew coffee

2 oz sparkling water

1 oz sweet cream

Add espresso and peppermint to a shaker with ice, shake well then strain into martini glass. Add sparkling water and stir lightly to incorporate. Finally use the back of a spoon and slowly pour sweet cream over the back to layer the cream on the top. Optionally, include a candy cane to stir before drinking!

Spiced Cranberry Spritz

3 Oz Cranberry Juice

5 Oz Ginger Ale

Dash of Orange Bitters (Technically contains alcohol but in very small percentages, can also be bought in nonalcoholic versions however!)

Dried orange rind

½ oz Honey (Only if using unsweetened cranberry juice)

Wooden Skewer with whole cranberries for garnish (Optional)

Combine all liquid ingredients into shaker, shake lightly. Add dried orange rind to glass then pour shaker contents over top. Add cranberry skewer for garnish.

… And enjoy!
